Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) will be facing the pre-biblical villain called "The Darkness" in "Supernatural" Season 11. Cast member Jared Padalecki teased that the Winchester brothers could ask for Metatron's help again in finding out who or what the Darkness is in order to defeat the enemy.
In the finale episode of "Supernatural" Season 10, the Darkness was released after removing the Mark of Cain on Dean's arm. Padalecki, 33, teased in Entertainment Weekly's Spoiler Room report that the Winchester brothers could go to Metatron (Curtis Armstrong) as well as Castiel for information on the Darkness.
However, Padalecki shared that it is still uncertain if Metatron and Castiel know something about the Darkness because it predates their existence as well. Padalecki assured the "Supernatural" fans that Sam and Dean will not stop fixing the damage that they have released on Earth in the brand new season.
Castiel (Misha Collins) can provide assistance to the Winchester brothers when it comes to stopping the Darkness but Sam and Dean must help the angel first with his current condition. In the finale episode of "Supernatural" Season 10, Rowena (Ruth Connell) put the "Attack Dog Spell" on Castiel and then ordered the angel to attack her son, Crowley (Mark Sheppard) before leaving with the Book of the Damned.
Meanwhile, "Supernatural" executive producers Jeremy Carver and Andrew Dabb gave the fans a preview of what Sam and Dean will deal with in the upcoming new season of the CW TV series at the 2015 Comic-Con. According to Comic Book Resources (CBR), Carver teased that the Darkness will not only be a threat to the Winchester brothers but also to the angels and demons.
During the interview, Dabb introduced the new "Supernatural" character named Amara (Emily Swallow) and teased how she will cause trouble to Sam and Dean. "I would say the character Amara, the Darkness character, for us she's a really interesting character mainly because she's very alien to this world," Dabb shared in the CBR report.
Dabb further added that Amara/the Darkness will be an interesting character because she has been locked away since the dawn of creation and she has a remarkable viewpoint with how she deals with everything. The arrival of the pre-biblical villain will have a different impact on the Winchesters, the angels, the demons and even the witches but the situation will connect the different "Supernatural" characters.
"We're hoping she will have a big ripple effect for us," Dabb shared. "Supernatural" Season 11 premieres on Wednesday night, Oct. 7, on the CW Network.
