The Detroit Lions visit the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 3 of the 2015 NFL Preseason competitions at the EverBank Field in Jacksonville, Florida on August 28, Friday.
Detroit is 1-1 in the current preseason, winning their Week 1 game at home against the New York Jets in spectacular fashion, 23-3, but dropping their second one on the road against the Washington Redskins, 21-17, at the FedEx Field on August 20.
Despite the loss, backup signal caller Dan Orlovsky played great for the Lions, working on 118 yards via a 13 for 17 performance with two touchdown passes, as per ESPN. Starting quarterback Matthew Stafford played a little and went 6 for 8.
The Jaguars are also 1-1 in preseason play after they succumbed to the New York Giants, 22-12, at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey last week, via SB Nation.
Starting QB Blake Bortles continues his impressive performance in the preseason and is expected to play more this week.
Detroit is a lot stronger when you play the starters head-to-head, but the Jacksonville substitutes are eager to prove themselves and so should not be counted out.
Prediction: Lions win, 14-10
