Male rappers appear to be in high demand among female celebrities. First, there was rapper Tyga and birthday girl Kylie Jenner photographed holding hands in Mexico during a recent vacation.
On Monday, TMZ published photos of tennis champion Serena Williams and rapper Drake kissing at a Cincinnati restaurant on Sunday night. The 28-year-old rapper and 33-year-old tennis champion had dinner first at a private room in the restaurant.
While the room was at the back of the restaurant, the curtains were not fully close, allowing other restaurant diners to see what was happening, reports NDTV. Celebrity observers noted a developing relationship between the two in July when Drake was seen filming Serena at Wimbledon.
After she won, he immediately posted on Instagram the photo of Serena with her sixth Wimbledon victory. The photo got almost 270,000 likes and 1,700 comments.
The couple possibly dined to celebrate her victory at the WTA Tournament's W& Southern Open in Cincinnati. But the two have yet to confirm if they are in a relationship, although their action inside the restaurant appears to be an indicator of an ongoing romance.
In TMZ's comments section, almost 2,800 readers gave their two cents' worth on the budding romance.
A number of the comments, though, were negative. Dreamweaver6477 noticed that Serena seems to be twice Drake's size, while ferndog68 finds her ugly, although he also acknowledges she has a nice personality. Leahlinki thinks the couple is a mismatch and Patricia Juzme Cunningham considers Drake a hoe.
Tony Tandi asked, "Did he just turned blind?" Juicy Lucy thinks Drake has a fetish, which is for Serena to fart on his nutz. Master chief plays the gender card, calling the rapper a female and the athlete a male, which makes them a hetero couple. Jon Johnson adds, "A man kissing another man!"
Serena, because of her masculine and athletic build, has been the target of bashers, although Harry Potter author JK Rawlings defended her in July.
Candice chastised the negative commenters by writing, "The hate, jealous and disrespect from most of the postings are sad. The more I read comments, the more I see why we live in such a hateful and evil society."
