"Allegiant" star Shailene Woodley is being linked to openly gay actress Ellen Page.
According to OK! Magazine, Woodley and Page have been friends for a long time and the former supported the latter throughout her coming out process.
The publication added that the closeness of the two eventually turned into an actual relationship. This report has shocked fans who were previously linking Woodley to her "Divergent" co-star, Theo James.
Meanwhile, Gossip Cop debunked rumors that Woodley and Page is an item. The publication revealed that an insider close to Woodley already spoke with OK! Magazine about the issue and said that the two are not in a relationship and are not even that close.
However, the publication refused to publish the correct story and still went on with the dubious one linking both female actresses to each other.
Page recently came out and the two is still in relationship with Alexandra Skarsgard. Therefore, there really is no truth to the rumor that Woodley and Page are dating.
Additionally, even though Woodley and Page were photographed together at the MTV Movie Awards, the two are not really close and they do not even talk to each other that much.
However, Woodley has been very vocal on her support for the LGBT community. The actress was previously quoted saying that she does not necessarily fall in love based on a person's sexual preference or orientation.
Woodley will reprise her role as Tris Prior alongside James' Four on "Allegiant - Part 1" slated for release on Mar. 18, 2016.
