The reality TV series titled "Big Brother 17" is starting to be filled-up with drama after Vanessa Rousso did not use her Power of Veto (PoV) privilege.
It could be remembered that Vanessa, a professional poker player, was inclined to use the PoV against Meg Maley or James Huling, but it turned out that the two was part of a strong five-man alliance, which made Vanessa change her mind. This marked the eighth season that the PoV was not used for a span of three weeks.
According to Buddy TV, Vanessa became aware of the issue when John McGuire, a dentist from Pennsylvania, revealed to her the strong alliance of Meg and James along with Austin Matelson (wrestler), Liz Nolan (marketing coordinator), and Julia Nolan (marketing intern).
Meanwhile, after the PoV ceremony ended, Steve Moses (college student) and John remained as nominees for the "next houseguest" to be evicted. Currently, there are no clear decision from the houseguests on who will they vote for elimination. However, for Vanessa, she wanted Steve to become the next victim of eviction.
Houseguests were thinking to eliminate Steve because of his stubbornness to become a pawn while having an alleged deal with John so they will become the final two. Steve was also believed to be spreading rumors concerning allegiances to other members. According to a poll of Buddy TV, fans wanted Steve to be the next evicted houseguest.
On the other hand, John does not want to be controlled by other people that is why he was being called by other contestants as "boring" and "not fun to hang out with."
Eliminating John seemed to be the more logical move for the houseguests because they believe that the dentist is less likely to come back and it is unlikely for his character to hold grudges. It should be noted that the last nine evicted houseguests will form the "Big Brother Jury," which will be responsible in voting for the winner in the show's season finale.
Previous eliminated house members were Jace Agolli, Da'Vonne Rogers, Jeff Weldon, Audrey Middleton, Jason Roy, Clay Honeycutt, Shelli Poole, Jackie Ibarra and Becky Burgess. Season 17 started on June 24 while the season finale to determine the winner will air on Sept. 23, according to Big Brother Network.
The reality TV series, which originated from The Netherlands in 1999, follows the format of houseguests or housemates confined in a special house. These contestants are not allowed to have any access to the outside world and all they have to do while staying indoors is to follow the house orders. Each week, houseguests will eliminate a certain nominated contestant thru votes until the reality TV series reaches its season finale.
