"Pretty Little Liars" season 6 is set to return in January 2016 and fans will have a taste of a new mystery and villain.
The last season of the series ended with an amazing twist when the true identity of "A" came to surface. Viewers realized that A's was CeCe Drakes after all and she "was a bit too involved, and too mysterious," Entertainment Weekly reported. The final episode gave an explanation of everything about "A" from CeCe and how she targeted Liars.
"Pretty Little Liars" season 6B will skip five years into the future, E! News reported. Showrunner Marlene King teased about the next season saying, "They are all in very different places. I don't want to give you all the answers because that is part of the fun of the plot when we meet them. They are still friends, but like what takes place after completing college, you don't get to see your friends always. So there is a reason they have to return to the town and they have secrets."
In the upcoming season, fans will meet a different Spencer, who now has bangs and may have ventured into politics after graduation. Similarly, Mona's mother is in politics whereas Hanna is engaged. It is unclear whether Hanna is engaged to Caleb.
Viewers will also meet Emily who had a bad experience in college and she is opening up to Tony. Other changes in season 6B include Aria getting a job as a journalist or writer, Ezra growing a beard, and Ali is married in addition to being a teacher and staying behind to look after Charlotte.
Fans of "Pretty Little Liars should expect a new mystery in the upcoming season because a new villain will feature. King hinted that there is a new mystery as there will be a new Big Bad in the lives of Little Liars. The next season will be a good opportunity for fans to learn about the person who killed Mrs. D in the previous season.
