"The Originals" season 3 will feature the first encounter of Klaus with his progeny, Lucien.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, actor Joseph Morgan, who plays the role of Klaus, said that things will be complicated between his character and Lucien.
"We learned to make vampires when my sire was created. There's definitely a bond there. We owe each other a lot," he said.
In season 3, "The Originals" will focus on the return of the Trinity, which is made up of the first vampires Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah ever sired.
"There's also this element that it's not just the three of them but they're in contact with a lot of the sire line for each of us so it's like, 'Hey, remember us? All those vampires that you turned who you've now abandoned? Well, guess what, we're not too happy about that and he's why,'' Morgan said.
Meanwhile, the publication just released a photo from the set of The CW series featuring Klaus and Lucien. The latter was described as a smart, charming and wildly successful guy.
In other news, the Mikaelsons will be the main focus for the upcoming third season of "The Originals."
Executive producer Michael Narducci spoke to E! News about the upcoming family reunion episode of the series. Narducci said that there will also be a series of flashbacks that will feature Claire Holt as Rebekah.
"Claire is phenomenal and we love to have her on the show. We've got a whole flashback storyline that she will participate in, and then we have some ideas on how we might see Rebekah again in present day in both bodies," he said.
"The Originals" season 3 will premiere on The CW this fall.
