iPad Air 3 and iPad Pro release will reportedly share the same date. Apple is rumored to unveil more devices than usual this year.
An analyst previously claimed that Apple will drop the iPad Air 3 and will focus on iPad Pro as it may cannibalize the sales of the latter. However, new rumors claimed that the two will be released at the same time in October.
Apple recently announced that it will hold its annual iPhone launch on Sept. 9. It is still unknown whether an iPad will be released at the said event, but most speculations pointed to October launch date.
Below is the comparison of the rumored specs and features iPad Air 3 and iPad Pro.
Screen Display
iPad Air 3 will most likely pack the same, old 9.7 inch screen panel of the full-fledged iPad. There is no reason to further increase the size of the screen panel as iPad Pro will reportedly sport a 12.9 inch screen display with 2,732 x 2,048 pixel resolution.
Processor
The iPad Air 3 will sport A9 processor, while the upcoming iPad Pro is rumored to pack an Intel Skylake processor.
Storage
Both iPad models will most likely offer 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB.
Operating System
iPad Air 3 will run with iOS 9, while it is still unknown whether the iPad Pro will run with iOS 9 or OS X El Capitan.
Camera
Both models will reportedly sport an 8 MP iSight camera at the back and 2.1 MP front-facing camera.
Meanwhile, there is no official word from Apple when it comes to the specs and features of the two devices.
