"Homeland" season 5 will debut on Oct. 4 with Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) moving to Berlin.
"Homeland", now on its fifth season, will start airing on Oct. 4. This fall was shot entirely in Germany, which is also a first for a U.S. TV series filmed in its entirety in Germany. Carrie will be carrying out work to a private firm in Berlin, where she will act as the new security head for a wealthy German philanthropist, Entertainment Weekly reported.
"Homeland" season 5 short trailer was already released for the upcoming season and the time frame was set two years after the incidents of season 4. Peter Quinn (Rupert Friend) will be there, but there still is no confirmation about the special relationship between Carrie and Quinn.
"Homeland" season 5 rumors have also hinted that a special friendship between Peter and Saul (Mandy Patinkin) will happen in this season. "There is no one on this planet that Saul would put more trust and faith in, than Peter Quinn," said Patinkin during an interview with E! News. "It's a bond that no one else can know about," Friend said, "I think at this point that suits Quinn very well," Patinkin added.
"Homeland" season 5 2-minute trailer showed Carrie is in agent mode again when she and her boss traveled to Lebanon. A scene was showing her being interviewed by a man, accusing her of being a CIA, which she vehemently denied.
Now, going back to Berlin, an American journalist (Sarah Skoloic), was asking her help to verify some files that some German hackers have obtained. Saul on the other hand, made some high-positioned people aware of this recent data breach, including Berlin's Chief of Station, Allison Carr.
"Homeland" season 5 will greatly feature Germans who want to be opted out of this espionage-hacking mess.
