The Washington Redskins' coaches and some officials want quarterback Robert Griffin III to leave the team. However, the owners of the team are not interested in trading Griffin.
According to ESPN, The Washington Redskins have talked to various NFL teams for a possible trade for Griffin. However, they have not found an interested team.
The folks in the organization, apart from the owners, are not really interested in having Griffin's services. However, it has to be seen if they can trade him without getting a consent from The Washington Redskins ownership.
ESPN noted that Scot McCloughan is the general manager and he is the one who will take care of the team. It is expected that he will play a key role in deciding Griffin's future in Washington Redskins.
The contract to Griffin is also a matter of concern for the Washington Redskins as well as for other teams. He is guaranteed in 2016 for $16.1 million.
Meanwhile, many veteran players are thinking about making a comeback in the game. One of the players is 31-year-old Cortland Finnegan. "This is interesting. CB Cortland Finnegan, who said he was retired, wants to play again - as a CB or S. Hired @RosenhausSports to do it," Ian Rapoport of NFL Network tweeted.
Bleacher Report noted that having players like Finnegan can be beneficial for the teams as it will not cost them heavily. The website stated that teams looking for players can consider someone like Finnegan.
