With Zack Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" coming to theaters next year as the, including Amanda Waller in the film would be a logical move for DC.
Waller is the head of the superhuman agency A.R.G.U.S. and is DC's Nick Fury. According to Comic Book, her inclusion in Snyder's upcoming film will link it effectively to DC's upcoming "Justice League Part One" and "Justice League Part Two." In addition, fans will be able to correlate Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" with David Ayer's upcoming villain film "Suicide Squad."
Viola Davis will play Waller in Ayer's "Suicide Squad." In her interview with The New York Times, Davis said that she signed on for three movies for DC and she felt that being part of "Suicide Squad" as her first big superhero movie should give her a substantial experience in the realm of superheroes. The two-time Tony winner and Oscar nominee also mentioned that she was having fun in her role as Waller.
Davis did not mention the three films she signed on for DC, but it is certain that one of them is Ayer's "Suicide Squad." While the actress' name is not included in the cast ensemble of Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," Davis is speculated to appear in an untitled "Batman" reboot, "Wonder Woman," "Justice League," or "Green Lantern Corps."
With this film line-up for DC's Cinematic Universe, Davis' casting to two of them is yet to be revealed by the studio or the actress herself.
Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is slated to premiere in theaters on Mar. 25, 2016 while Ayer's "Suicide Squad" is set to hit theaters on Aug. 5, 2016.
