The English transfer deadline is just around the corner and Manchester United is still busy tinkering their roster. Even as the £36 million Anthony Martial signing is already a done deal, manager Louis van Gaal seems to be not finished looking for some deadline-beating deals for the Red Devils' cause.

Van Gaal targets Barça's Dani Alves when transfer window reopens in January: Recent reports say that Barcelona defender Dani Alves will be the first player in the crosshairs of the 63-year-old Dutch mentor come January.
The 32-year-old Brazil international was actually almost at the Old Trafford this summer, but he opted to sign a new contract in Camp Nou instead.
Van Gaal is reportedly looking to put Alves at Matteo Darmian's right back spot and send the latter at center back. However, all indications point out that Alves will stay in Spain. Verdict: Fiction.
Deadline day bid for Borussia Dortmund's Marco Reus on its way: The 26-year-old striker had been in van Gaal's wishlist for quite some time now and there were rumors that United will finally bid for the Germany international right at the transfer deadline day.
However, official reports were released that the Red Devils snubbed BVB's £60-million asking price for the attacking midfielder, which means the rumor is untrue. Verdict: Fiction.
Man United is seriously considering Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann: French forward Antoine Griezmann is also one of the strikers in van Gaal's list and the team is currently weighing in the implications of his £46.1 million release clause.
While it is highly unlikely any deal involving the 24-year-old will be finalized before the deadline, Griezmann will continue to be a target for the Old Trafford giants in January. Verdict: Fact.
