"Hart of Dixie" star Rachel Bilson recently revealed the story behind her and Hayden Christensen's baby's name.
In an interview with Digital Spy, Christensen revealed that he and Bilson are huge Disney fans. Their daughter Briar Rose's name was specifically taken from the 1959 original version of the film, "Sleeping Beauty."
"There's a Disney reference there I suppose. The original 'Sleeping Beauty' is called Briar Rose. Rachel - we both love Disney - but Rachel especially was very keen on the name," he said.
Meanwhile, Christensen spoke with US Weekly to promote his upcoming movie. During his discussion with the publication, Christensen said that his wife Bilson is like a Disney princess herself.
The actor added that Bilson is the type of mom who always plays Disney songs for their daughter.
In other news, Bilson previously talked about her exit from "Hart of Dixie" after four seasons.
According to the actress, The CW series was not cancelled because of her pregnancy. In fact, there were already plans to axe the show just after four seasons. It just so happened that she was pregnant at that time.
Bilson's co-star Jaime King also talked about the axing of "Hart of Dixie." A few months ago, the actress said that the timing of Bilson's pregnancy may have caused the cancellation of the series.
Immediately after the cancellation announcement, fans of "Hart of Dixie" urged the network to reconsider their decision with regards to the show's fate. However, The CW still decided to stop airing "Hart of Dixie."
