There is a secret group within Facebook where the privileged class members meet to figure out where to invest their wealth and what sort of luxury things to buy. The private club named T.N.R. 250, short for The Nouveau Rich 250, is formed by 250 of the company's privileged class members.
According to Vanity Fair, Facebook employees who are part of the secret group consist of people who made millions post the Facebook I.P.O. Nick Bolton found that the T.N.R 250 members would discuss their plans about what to do with all the extra cash that they earned with the growth of Facebook.
The wish-list consisted of super luxury things such as, tropical islands, planes, yachts and even Banksy portraits. It seems that the confidentiality was partly due to the dot com crash 200. It happened when the star balloons burst at the billionaire club due to the deflation of the tech market.
The catch here is that the group is not on Facebook as they want to keep a distance from Social networks. However, if anyone is still ignorant of the T.N.R. 250 group it is because they do not want to reveal their plans to the world, Business Insider reported.
The fact that Silicon Valley billionaires do not believe in showing of their wealth is another reason that pushes the T.N.R. 250 members to maintain secrecy. While one would always find Mark Zuckerberg unostentatious, it is the same with the tech magnate Steve Jobs too.
The same goes for the wealthy Facebook employees who can enjoy their plans on boats and planes, while keeping in sync with the Silicon Valley norms.
