As mentioned above, the iPhone 5S will proudly become the Apple budget phone. The translation is: Apple's top-notch iOS experience - everything about it - will potentially become dirt-cheap. In the U.S., the device is likely to be offered for free with contract agreement.
For the rest of the world, it is fairly sure that the iPhone 5S sticker price will be significantly lower than the expected $700+ asking price of the unlocked iPhone 6S on release date, likely no more than $400 in many markets around the world.
