The Philadelphia Eagles has released Kobe Bryant's "Disney Parks Frozen Christmas Celebration" co-star Tim Tebow.
Tebow was one of the 22 players released by the Philadelphia Eagles prior to the NFL's roster deadline on Sept. 5, Saturday. A day before this, the team traded Matt Barkley to Arizona Cardinals, New York Times reported.
Since Coach Chip Kelly cut Tebow, the Philadelphia Eagles now have only two quarterbacks on the roster, Tebow's former New York Jets teammate Mark Sanchez and the starter Sam Bradford.
"We felt Tim has progressed," The Sacramento Bee quoted Kelly as saying. However, the Philadelphia Eagles coach added that they did not feel Tebow was good enough to the No. 3.
In 2010, Tebow led Florida to the national championship was one of Denver's first-round picks. In January 2012, a playoff victory over Pittsburgh was one of the 16 games he started during two seasons with the Denver Broncos.
It was in 2012 when Tebow last played in a regular-season game with the New York Jets. In 2013, the New England Patriots cut him in training camp and in 2014, he worked as a college football analyst on SEC Network but the Philadelphia Eagles signed him in the off-season.
In 2014, Tebow appeared as himself in the TV movie "Disney Parks Frozen Christmas Celebration" along with Bryant, "Pretty Little Liars" star Lucy Hale, "Modern Family" star Sarah Hyland, , former "The View" host Rosie O'Donnell, Miss America 2015 Kira Kazantsev and "Pitch Perfect 2" stars Anna Kendrick and Robin Roberts, among others.
Directed by Gary Lavorson and Martin Pasetta, "Disney Parks Frozen Christmas Celebration" also starred musicians Ariana Grande, AJ McLean, Trey Songz, Trisha Yearwood and "The X Factor USA" season 3 finalist Alex & Sierra.
