Giada De Laurentiis reportedly agreed to pay her ex-husband Todd Thompson $9,000 after the divorce just to be with Bobby Flay. The Food Network chef has also agreed to split their assets and share custody with their 7-year-old daughter Jade Marie.
According to People, because of the lack of a prenup De Laurentiis and Thomspon will have to split their assets evenly. The celebrity chef reportedly agreed to give her estranged husband 50% of all net book royalties which were published when they were still together. De Laurentiis also agreed to give Thompson 50% of the unpaid advances to several cookbooks she is currently working on.
Although neither of them were asked to pay spousal support, De Laurentiis was ordered by the judge to give $9,000 a month to her ex-husband for child support.
The publication also noted that the former couple is in the process of dividing up various accounts worth more than $2 million. It was said that Thompson is worth $15 million while De Laurentiis is worth $20 million.
Now that their divorce has been finalized, many started to speculate that De Laurentiis and Flay will soon start dating. When the celebrity chefs filed for divorce from their spouses only weeks apart, fans cannot help but speculate that the affair is real.
As reported by Starcasm, De Laurentiis and Flay were recently spotted getting cozy in a restaurant. Sources claimed that the two spent the entire time holding hands. They reportedly even discreetly carved their initials into the table to commemorate the rendezvous.
