The highly anticipated "Five Nights at Freddy's" movie will stay faithful to the game's plot and storyline. Director Gil Kenan revealed that he is a huge fan of Scott Cawthon's popular game and would not want to disappoint the fans.
As reported by Venture Capital Post, Kenan was considering using real animatronics instead of using CGI. The director believed that using practical effects would make the film more authentic and scarier. He also hinted that the props would be made at Jim Henson's Creature Shop.
Although the live adaptation of "Five Nights at Freddy's" is expected to be a blockbuster success given its huge following, Kenan shared that he wanted the film to appeal to everyone. He held that Warner Bros. is also targeting to appeal to the non-gamers.
Kenan, however, assured fans that they will try to stay faithful to the video game as much as possible. He explained that he is an avid fan himself and would not want to jeopardize what is already an amazing plot.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, producer Seth Grahame-Smith said that they have high expectations for the movie. They believed that the film will open doors to a "largely unexplored niche of horror" films which he hoped people will be able to relate to.
Although it has yet to be confirmed if the film will have a PG or R rating, Grahame-Smith assured fans that they are in for one crazy ride. He said that they are looking forward to creating a "terrifying" yet "weirdly adorable" movie.
