The movie adaptation of "Five Nights At Freddy's" may have been confirmed but only little information is known on its plot, cast members and release date. Warner Bros. was reportedly still uncertain if the film should have a PG, or an R-rating.
According to Paste magazine, Warner Bros. has acquired the rights to the movie adaptation of "Five Nights at Freddy." It was said that the producers are still on the fence about the plot of the movie.
The media outlet claimed that the studio could turn the franchise into a horror movie, comparing Freddy to Chucky.
On the other hand, Warner Bros. were also reportedly thinking of going for the much more wholesome, family friendly route. It was said that they also wanted to appeal to the teen audience, many of those who actually played the game.
Some argued that a softer PG-13 version of the movie will make it more accessible to many, translating to an even more higher profit for the producers.
"We're looking forward to working with Scott to make an insane, terrifying and weirdly adorable movie," said Seth Grahame-Smithof KatzSmith Productions.
Meanwhile, movie director Gil Kenan recently shared a few photos on Twitter, showing a few animatronic head designs. Kenan even offered fans a sneak peek of what the beloved characters would look like on the big screen.
As Design & Trend pointed out, it is a bit difficult to conclude if the images Kenan shared were actual character designs. The publication noted that the snaps were taken only for research purposes. It was said that the director recently went to Jim Henson's Creature Shop, possibly looking for inspiration.
