The United States Federal Communications Commission recently posted a filing about the Acer Predator 8 gaming tablet. The filing claim that the gaming tablet is scheduled to be released in November and might fetch a price tag of around $299.
According to Ubergizmo, the FCC filing did not reveal much about the Acer Predator 8 tablet aside from unveiling the tablet's possible release date.
The Acer Predator 8 was unveiled at the recently conclude 2015 IFA conference in Berlin. The gaming tablet boasts an 8-inch display screen capable of rendering resolution of up to 1920 x 1200. The device is powered but an Intel Atom X7 processor and runs on the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.
Despite its massive computing power, Acer was able to tuck everything into a device that is only 8.7mm thin which already includes four front-facing speakers, Predator TacSense haptic feedback technology and a couple of extended grip pads. The haptic feedback feature promises a gaming-like controller feel.
Gamers will be pleased to know that the tablet will is preloaded with the "Asphalt 8" racing game from Gameloft as well as 320,000 in-game credits.
Experts said that the tablet is ideal for first-person-shooter type of games along with sketching and writing which is made easy by the 2mm fine tip tool or an optional stylus which is sold separately.
According to CNet, the Acer Predator 8 gaming tablet also boasts 64GB of storage space which can be expanded via the microSD slot, 2GB of internal memory and a powerful Intel HD Graphic Gen-8-LP graphics processing unit.
