Famous crocodile hunter Steve Irwin's daughter, Bindi Irwin, 18, admitted that wearing heels has been her first challenge on the "Dancing With The Stars," but added she is in good hands with dancing pro instructor Derek Hough whom she called "the greatest teacher on planet Earth."
The young environmentalist is in the United States training for her scheduled debut on the popular reality show which is set to air on Sept. 14.
During a chat with hosts of "Entertainment Tonight" Bindi said trainers never realized that the Wildlife Warrior had never worn heels before and called her first toss in heels a "good start to a great adventure."
Irwin told the channel appearing on the show is a different experience for her and an opportunity to step out of her comfort zone try something new.
The animal enthusiast was introduced to her new dancing partner at a wildlife area in Los Angeles. Irwin invited the professional dancing star to pat a baby alligator and snake just prior to getting started with their training, according to the Daily Mail.
The young dancing duo nicknamed their team Team Crikey and is currently working on a signature move, according to the Herald Sun.
While Irwin is still in the midst of practices she told the publication that Hough put her mind at ease and the two of them have been taking things "a piece at a time."
In a bid to invent moves Hough said he was thinking of a crocodile move but for the moment Irwin thinks the fancy footwork resembles that of an oyster.
