Gaming peripheral manufacturer Razer recently released a redesigned version of the Orochi gaming mouse. The Orochi gaming mouse is aimed for mobile gamers is designed to be used for laptops.
While the Orochi is designed mainly to be used for mobile gaming, the mouse works perfectly well on the desktop platform as well. On the other hand, the Orochi's extra small build means that it was designed for mobile gamers.
Despite its diminutive size, the Orochi gaming mouse packs high-end specs. According to Ubergizmo, the mouse boasts an 8200 DPI sensor and a response time of one millisecond when wired.
Users have an option to use the mouse wirelessly via the Bluetooth 4.0 but it will drop the devices' response time to four millisecond. The difference time might raise an eyebrow for hardcore gamers, but it is pretty much negligible.
The mouse also comes in with Chroma lighting as well as a newly designed shell that sports a metal top and rubberized side grips.
The Razer Orochi is powered by two AA batteries while on wireless mode. While on this mode, Razer promises that it can last up to 60 hours of continuous usage or up to seven months of casual gaming.
If users opt in for the wired mode, the mouse can be connected to a computer via USB. While hooked through a cable, the mouse boasts 1000Hz polling rate a number that drops to 125Hz when done wirelessly.
The Razer Orochi ships with a one meter braider USB cable and the device itself only weights 110 grams. The Orochi is currently available for pre-order at $70 and Razer will begin shipping the device in October, according to AnandTech.
