Three new celebrity names are competing for the role of Carol Danvers in Marvel Studios upcoming phase 3 film, "Captain Marvel".
"Mission Impossible - Rogue Nation" star Rebecca Ferguson has been rumored to play Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel in the "Captain Marvel" movie for phase 3 in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Heroic Hollywood reported.
Although, the source did not mention Ferguson's name in the piece, several clues were laid out that connects to her film works such a major role in "Mission Impossible - Rogue Nation" and an upcoming movie project, "The Girl On The Train" starring alongside "Into the Woods" star Emily Blunt.
"The Red Tent" actress has received incredible praise from movie fans and critics for her role as undercover MI6 agent Ilsa Faust in "Rogue Nation" proving that she can work brilliantly with other big named actors such as Tom Cruise, Sean Harris and Jeremy Renner.
Aside from Ferguson, singer and songwriter Beyonce Knowles has also been eyed by Marvel Studios for part in their upcoming films.
A Disney executive claimed production team hinted they wanted Beyonce on board an "Avengers" film, but the final casting will be decided by Marvel and they will make the official announcement soon, Movie News Guide reported.
The "Flawless" singer has to potential to be a great actress in Hollywood as she was praised for roles in several films such as "Dreamgirls", "Obsessed", "Austin Powers in Goldmember" and "The Pink Panther". Beyonce once hinted that she wanted to play the role of Wonder Woman in any superhero film, but the role has already been taken by "Fast & Furios 6" actress, Gal Gadot.
Lastly, UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey has express her interest in playing the lead role in the "Captain Marvel" movie as she playfully teased fans of a photo as Carol Danvers in her Instagram page.
Rousey has starred in two film projects such as "The Expendables 3" and "Furious 7", and will have a stint in the upcoming TV series turned film, "Entourage".
The "Captain Marvel" film will be release in cinemas on July 6, 2018.
