The WWE Universe invests a big part of its weekly routine in anticipation of developments on different wrestlers and the outcome of certain scenarios. Some spin the WWE rumor mills for fun, while others come up their own storylines that whet their appetite.
In this edition, highlights - and lowlights - include Randy Orton, Night of Champions, and a possible comeback for a high-flying tag team.
As always, fans should take all of these with a grain of salt.
Is Randy Orton Going on a Break?
Contrary to what some rumors suggest, Randy Orton probably won't be teaming up with Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns at Night of Champions after all.
In fact, Orton might not be partnering up or squaring off with anyone for a foreseeable future.
Last week's attack from The Wyatt Family was a way of writing off the multiple-time WWE champ, as he looks to be on vacation for a few weeks.
Night of Champions Early Predictions
If betting lines - or the alleged boxes of new "The Champ is Here" shirts - were to be believed, look for Seth Rollins to retain his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Sting, and lose the United States Championship to John Cena.
Also, it seems that the first order of business at Night of Champions will be Rollins' match against The Vigilante for the WWE World Heavyweight title.
Speaking of Sting, he's apparently slated to appear live on WWE RAW this Monday at The FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee.
The Hardy Boyz' Possible WWE Return
With the return of The Dudley Boyz and a resurgent WWE tag team division in full swing, the company is contemplating about giving Matt and Jeff Hardy another look.
Recent years have shown The Hardy Boyz being on the right track both personally and professionally.
It may just be a matter of time before they plunge back to the WWE tag team title picture.
