Coldplay frontman Chris Martin following on the heels of his surprise visit to India and the memorable impromptu performance at a restaurant in Delhi delighted many shocked Indian fans in July, this month the singer has been spotted in Mumbai.
According to Mid Day, "The Scientist" singer Martin was not only spotted in Mumbai, but he has been seen together with the rest of the Coldplay outfit with him as well. The band is reportedly in India in a bid to shoot their latest music video.
According to a source quoted by the publication, they have "something special" planned for their Indian followers.The source revealed that the band is currently shooting in different parts of Mumbai for the group's latest video. According to reports the band landed in India this week and will be in the country for a few days till the shooting of the video concludes.
Furthermore, it was revealed that the group's visit is being kept as discreet as possible as they want to "steer clear of the paparazzi," the source said.
Photographs which emerged in local media show Martin and band-mates, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman and Will Champion, covered in colored dust similar to that associated with Holi celebrations. The images that have emerged have captured the group surrounded by Indian children implying a holi themed video.
Many of the band's followers on social media are hoping that the "something special" promised by the group will work out to be a concert in India or even an Indian album launch.
The July visit by Grammy winner Martin almost caused a social media melt down. According to Gig Wise, the band is set to released their latest album in Autumn this year.
The group's last album, "Ghost Stories" was released back in May 2014. Coldplay previously revealed the title of their new album as "A Head Full Of Dreams." The "Fix You" singer likened working on the album to the last "Harry Potter" books saying if he did not feel that way the group would not put everything they had into it.
At the end of 2014, the group came out with "Miracles" as part of the soundtrack for Angelina Jolie's film "Unbroken." The group created media hype recently when they were reported to have considered bailing out Kids Company, a children's charity.
To date the alternative rock group have never performed in India and it is the first time the whole band has visited the country.
