However, the production certainly did not go according to plans. The shooting was cancelled temporarily due to adverse weather conditions in the location. As per the locals, the seas around Portmagee and Skellig were too rough and halted the transit of the cast and crew, reported Movie Web. The production is expected to resume soon.

The report added, "A crew of around 100 people and cast members, including Mark Hamill who will reprise his Luke Skywalker role, are expected to be on the boats due to leave Portmagee today at 7am," Also, there was a picture of Hamill's son, Nathan Hamill entering the Butler Arms Hotel in Waterville.

Nathan even posted an Instagram picture of the beautiful scenic view of the Skellig peninsula.

"Star Wars: Episode VIII" is directed by Rian Johnson. He has also written the screenplay of the film based on the characters created by George Lucas. The storyline of the film is being kept under the wraps. The other star cast of the film includes Oscar Isaac, who will reprise his role as Poe Dameron.
