The arrival of the Trinity in "The Originals" Season 3 will make the original actors, who portrayed the Mikaelson siblings when the family was introduced in "The Vampire Diaries," return in the CW TV series through flashback scenes. Series creator and executive producer Julie Plec promises the fans that they will see more scenes featuring Claire Holt as Original vampire Rebekah Mikaelson in "The Originals" Season 3.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Plec has confirmed that the fans will actually be seeing quite a lot of Claire Holt in the beginning of "The Originals" Season 3 in the flashback storyline which introduces the Trinity. The villains in CW TV series' new season will be the first vampires that Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Rebekah (Claire Holt) sired.
Hypable reports that Holt shared an image of herself on Instagram teasing about her return in "The Originals" Season 3 on Friday night, Sept. 11. "Guess who?" Holt's caption for the image reads.
In the shared photo, Holt shows off her hand with blood from the props department on it like Original vampire Rebekah just killed someone. "The Originals" executive producer Michael Narducci also shared Holt's photo on Twitter.
The Trinity will arrive in New Orleans to cause trouble to the Mikaelson siblings. In present-day New Orleans, Maisie Richardson-Sellers portrays Rebekah Mikaelson as a witch.
Plec teased that the witch Rebekah will realize that her life is in danger when the Trinity suddenly shows up in town. Meanwhile, the Mikaelson siblings will not be the only ones affected with the arrival of the Trinity in New Orleans.
The other characters that will get caught in the middle of the conflict between the Trinity and the Originals in the upcoming new season are Cami (Leah Pipes) and Marcel (Charles Michael Davis). Plec teased that Cami and Marcel's connection to Original vampire-hybrid Klaus Mikaelson makes it easy for the Trinity, particularly Klaus' sired vampire Lucien (Andrew Lees), to manipulate Klaus.
"The Originals" Season 3 will premiere on Thursday night, Oct. 8, at 9/8c on the CW Network.
