Earlier this week, reports surfaced claiming that a leak may have revealed the upcoming Galaxy S7 flagship, one of the manufacturer's upcoming Samsung phones for 2016.
According to a report by ValueWalk, an unnamed Samsung device appeared on a benchmarking app, revealing some of its specs, including an Exynos 8890 SoC.
For all the non-tech geeks, the Exynos chipset has not been used in any smartphone just yet, which means that the upcomig device could be a flagship-level handset from Samsung.
Dubbed as Samsung Project Lucky, the rumored high-end device reportedly comes in two options - one with a Snapdragon 820 chipset and 4GB RAM, while the other one runs on Samsung's own Exynos chipsets, paired with 3GB of RAM.
The two versions of the upcoming Samsung phone for 2016 could be aimed at different markets, Phone Arena believes.
The Qualcomm-powered version could hit the US and UK markets, while the Eyxnos-powered Galaxy S7 could make its debut in Asia.
Moreover, the device is said to feature two display types - one with a 5.2-inch display, and another with a 5.7-inch screen, a 20MP ISOCELL camera, 5MP front shooter, and the latest version of Android out of the box.
However, just like its previous flagships, the Samsung Galaxy S7 may only be announced during the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona early next year.
