In CW Network's promo video, Teressa Liane has teased that her character Mary Louise will be hesitant in exposing her relationship with Nora (Scarlett Byrne), another member of the Heretics, in present-day Mystic Falls. Liane further shared that Nora will be the one who is ready to go public because the couple can now be free from hiding their relationship for centuries.

Aside from Mary Louise and Nora, the TVD fans will also meet the other members of Lily Salvatore's vampire-witch family that got released from the 1903 prison world of the Gemini Coven in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6. Lily Salvatore (Annie Wersching), the Ripper mother of Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder), will be causing trouble in Mystic Falls with the Heretics by her side.

In a Carter Matt report, the synopsis of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 premiere episode teased that Stefan will take an active role in protecting Mystic Falls from Lily and her vampire-witch family, the Heretics. Matt (Zach Roerig) and Caroline will be working with Stefan in stopping the Heretics from wreaking havoc in town but one of them will be left in a dangerous position because of an unexpected turn of events.

Elsewhere in the premiere episode, Damon will be forced to move on with his life without Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) in it. Elena is currently asleep and being kept safe in a coffin in the Salvatore crypt after sociopath villain Kai Parker (Chris Wood) linked her life to Bonnie Bennett (Kat Graham) in the finale of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6.

Meanwhile, two timelines will run throughout the upcoming new season of the CW TV series. According to Entertainment Weekly, "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 will tell the stories in present-day Mystic Falls and through a flash-forward to three years in the future.

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 will premiere on Thursday night, Oct. 7, at 8/7c on the CW Network.
