"Cool for the Summer" hit maker Demi Lovato is releasing her fifth album "Confident" on Oct. 16. During the first day of iHeartRadio Music Festival at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Sept. 18, Friday, she revealed the driving force behind the album.
"I'm not afraid to have attitude on this album and just be able to say what I want, speak what I want," Lovato told Billboard. "That's really what I'm most proud of on this album is kind of not caring what anyone else thinks. Just making music for me."
With the "Confident" album dedicated particularly to her female fans, Lovato also said she always tries to send kind of an inspirational music to everyone but she also really wants to empower women. She hopes to empower women with the "Confident" album.
Wearing a sheer bodysuit with a furry jacket and knee-high boots, Lovato performed "Cool for the Summer" and "Really Don't Care" during the first day of iHeartRadio Music Festival. She also had a surprise duet with Third Eye Blind frontman Stephan Jenkins on the band's 1990s hit "Jumper."
Wilmer Valderrama was also seen supporting Lovato during her girlfriend's performance of "Really Don't Care." Her ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas and her friend Nick Jonas were also caught by the cameras supporting her during that performance.
On Sept. 19, Saturday, Lovato performed at the iHeartRadio Music Village. "The Voice" season 9 coach Blake Shelton and "American Idol 2016" judge Jennifer Lopez are also scheduled to perform on that day, according to E! News.
