While "Fast and Furious 8," set to arrive in theaters on April 14 2014, is yet to commence production, fans of the action film products are already excited.
Two more cast members will make a comeback in the upcoming movie - Jason Statham plying the villain Deckard Shaw and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson playing Agent Luke Hobbs, Screenrant reported. The two characters will make an addition to Vin Diesel who will reprise his role as Dominic Toretto.
There are also speculations that Eva Mendes may return to reprise her role as the United States Customs Agent Monica Fuentes. The Toretto crew may work for Mr. Nobody's (Kurt Russell) underground agency, likely bringing in much face time with a variety of government agencies.
Lucas Black, who played Sean Boswell in "Fast and Furious 3: Tokyo Drift," is also expected to feature in the next film. It was initially reported that actor Black had signed on for three installments of the franchise, and therefore, "Fast and Furious 8" would make his second film to appear.
Meanwhile, Ruby Rose, who is establishing herself as a cast member in "Orange if the New Black," also said that she has already come for auditions for a segment in the film and that she is negotiating to take part in "Fast and Furious 8," Movie News Guide unveiled. However, there are no further details concerning Rose's role in the upcoming movie.
"Fast and Furious 7" was meant to have been the first film of a final trilogy, but the untimely death of Paul Walker may have triggered changes in the schedule. The installment, however, became one of the best selling films of the franchise, triggering Universal Pictures to continue with a sequel.
