"Rise of the Tomb Raider" will showcase new gameplay features and tomb raiding as well as a leaked footage of the the game's final version.
A new trailer for "Rise of the Tomb Raider" has been revealed as it features Lara Craft exploring different tombs across the world, building up her status as a legendary explorer. The plot of the game will take place several years after the "Tomb Raider" 2013 reboot game, as an unknown organization known simply as "Trinity" has covered up the incident from Yamatai Island, in which, Lara was trapped and fought her way to survive.
Her experience in the Yamatai Island transformed her into a hardened and obsessed explorer as she searches for the truth about the myths and legends of the world before Trinity gets to them first.
"Rise of the Tomb Raider" will feature a new grappling hook tool that allows Lara to swing from trees and getting to place that are and impossible to reach. The trailer also shows the ancient city of Kitezh located somewhere in Siberia as Lara will search her way through dangerous caverns and ruins, Gamerant reported.
Crystal Dynamics stated that "Rise of the Tomb Raider" will have more challenging puzzles and tomb exploration than the previous game, as they wanted players witness Lara's growth as an explorer and dev even further in the "Tomb Raider" game mythos.
Aside from the new game trailer, a leaked game footage of what appeared to be the near-finished version of "Rise of The Tomb Raider" has been posted by YouTube username sumit patil, VG 24/7 reported.
The video features Lara Craft infiltrating an enemy base in the snowy wilderness of Siberia a she sneaks and fought her way around the base. The website wrote that the footage is not a demo or a game walk-through but someone actually playing the game's near complete version. Both Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix have not made any statements regarding the leaked gameplay footage.
"Rise of the Tomb Raider" will release first in the Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles on November 10 in the United States and November 19 in Europe. The PlayStation 4 and PC version of the game will launch sometime in 2016.
