"Eleanor & Park" movie will probably be shown in theatres soon as book author and screenwriter Rainbow Rowell said that she is already working on the second draft of the movie's screenplay.
More details about the upcoming "Eleanor & Park" movie were revealed thanks to the book's author where the movie is based from. Since the movie adaptation was announced last year, fans of the book are looking forward on the movie, which has no definite release date yet.
According to Rowell's interview with Omaha, she is "sworn to secrecy" that prevents her from divulging the details about the film. However, she assured the book's fans and followers that the film is moving forward and is in the works.
"I wrote the first draft of the screenplay for DreamWorks, and now I'm working on the second draft. It's still very much something DreamWorks is planning to do," Rowell said.
Meanwhile, Rowell previously revealed that there is no casting yet until a director signed for the film. Director's signing may happen after Rowell finished the screenplay for review. This makes fans crazy thinking who will play the title roles of Eleanor and Park.
Rowell's "Eleanor & Park" was named Omaha Public Library's 2015 Omaha Reads selection. The book was decided through public vote and now will be promoted by the Omaha Public Library through various events and programs.
"Eleanor & Park" is a young adult novel that narrates the story of two high school misfits looking for sense of belongingness and affirmation. The two met on the school bus and making connection through comic books and music that flourished into a love story.
