Robert Pattinson recently talked about the changeover from celebrity to the photographer in the movie "Life" and the arrival of recognition after his roles in the blockbuster "Harry Potter" and "Twilight" film series.

British heartthrob plays photographer Dennis Stock in Anton Corbijn's "Life."  The movie chronicles the relationship between Stock and a young James Dean (played by Dane Dehaan) who is on the threshold of superstardom in Hollywood.

The 29-year-old Pattinson was asked about how he chooses his movie roles and if he considers his fan base and here is what he had to say

"I don't consider it by any means," Pattinson, told the Associated Press in an interview. 

"I will experience periods where I will think, 'Goodness, perhaps I ought to do a business motion picture'. And after that I simply think, somebody gave me a truly incredible recommendation - somebody from my organization, abnormally - they said the main customers that are upbeat are the ones that simply would what they like to do. So I only sort of do everything for myself."

The "Twilight" star admitted that he only really realized what being famous was about after three years since he got famous. "Life" actor has topped the list of the sexiest man in the world by Glamour Magazine for four consecutive years. 

Pattinson has received Best Actor award at Strasbourg Film Festival for his performance in "How to Be." For his work in "The Twilight Saga," he has earned two Empire Awards nomination and won eleven MTV Movie Awards, two People's Choice Awards and 2009's Hollywood Film Award for New Hollywood by Hollywood Film Festival.

In 2014, he earned nominations from Australian Academy Awards (AACTA) and Canadian Screen Awards for his performances in "The Rover" and "Maps to the Stars" respectively. He won Hollywood Rising Star Award for his performance in "Life" from Deauville American Film Festival in 2015.

The Hollywood star, who is reportedly engaged to singer FKA Twigs, is persistently pursued by photographers and the paparazzi. After playing the role of a photographer Pattinson understood the life on the opposite side, the People reported.

"The primary time of getting well known was extraordinarily odd to me and truly fun toward the starting on the grounds that you didn't understand the results of anything," Pattinson said. You could say or do whatever you needed and it simply didn't make a difference.

The "Life" had its premiere at 65th Berlin International Film Festival, at Berlinale Special Gala at the Zoo Palast on Feb. 9, 2015. "Life" releases on Dec. 4 in the U.S.
