For earning $60 million in the past 12 months, P. Diddy was number 1 on Forbes's 2015 Hip-Hop Cash King list released on Tuesday.

A big part of his income was from Ciroc vodka, while the rest came from TV network Revolt, clothing brand Sean John and alkaline water Aquahydrate, reports Music Times.

In second place is Jay-Z, with an income of $56 million, earned from joint concerts with his wife Beyonce, entertainment firm Roc Nation and Armand de Brignac champagne.

Other hip-hoppers on the list include third-placer Drake with $39.5 million, fourth-placer Dr. Dre with $33 million and fifth-placer Pharrell Williams with $32 million. Drake's income came mostly from the 50 shows he did that averaged $1 million nightly, a platinum release and Sprite and Nike commercials. Dr. Dre's income came include Apple's purchase of Beats, a biopic and third album.

Pharrel's income is from tours, music and role as judge in "The Voice." He also earned from two clothing lines, Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream.

Forbes explains that the list is based on pre-tax income from tours, record sales, streaming, publishing, merchandise sales, endorsements and other business ventures. Management, agent and attorney fees are not deducted. The period covered is earnings from June 2014 through June 2015, reports MTV.

The 2014 list had Mackelmore and Ryan Lewis in the top 5.

Commenting on his moving up two places this year, Drake said, "That's pretty much my objective every year ... Other than making good music."
