The "Bioshock Collection" for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One may be released on Nov. 27 according to a leak from a retailer who accidentally posted a page for preorders. However, there is no official confirmation from 2K concerning the release date, and therefore, it still remains a rumor.
A similar slip on PSN made the tentative release date for "Batman: Arkham Knight" to come out too early. The date given for the game proved to be a placeholder since the game had experienced two delays, one of which was less than a month.
If indeed the release date for "Bioshock Collection" is eminent for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, it is unclear the kind of games that will be incorporated, Tech Times reported. However, rumors suggest remastered versions of "Bioshock," "Bioshock 2," and "Bioshock Infinite," probably with all related DLC.
2K could be trying to maintain secrecy in the same way Activision did with their "Prototype Biohazard Bundle," which had faintly upgraded versions of the two games. The launch was not given much consideration, which came as a surprise since Activision charged $50 for both games. So far, PC gamers have been picking up the two games for almost half the price for many years, making the "Biohazard Bundle" a console that only enthusiast might go for.
As opposed to "Prototype," "Bioshock" has maintained its quality with fans and the game is widely anticipated.
Although the "Bioshock Collection" release date leaked through a South African retailer Raru, it is unclear whether there will be a game beyond a screen grab taken before the page was deleted.
An attempt by IGN to get an official confirmation on the "Bioshock" remastered release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One proved futile. A representative from 2K simply said, "2K doesn't respond to [rumors] or speculation."
In case the series is released, gamers should expect updated visuals and a reasonable bundle price, inclusive of major games and their story DLC like "Burial at Sea."
