Both books were made into movies with Sandra Bullock winning an Academy Award for Best Actress for the movie "The Blind Side" and Brad Pitt being nominated at the Oscars for Best Actor for "Moneyball."

Huffington Post reported that the story revolves around four men namely Michael Burry (Bale), Ben Hockett (Pitt), Greg Lippmann (Gosling), and Greg Steve Eisman (Carell).

The quadruple threat predicted the economic collapse that happened from 2007 to 2010. They decided to place their bets against the American economy.

The group took risks and made huge investment that led them to the root of fraud in modern banking, prompting them to question everything.

Carell mentioned in the trailer that the big banks are screwing the American people.

The film is directed by Adam McKay and written by Charles Randolph and McKay. The film is produced by Brad Pitt, Jeremy Kleiner, Dede Gardner, and Arnon Milchan.
