Theo James is determined to quash rumors that she and Shailene Woodley are seeing each other behind girlfriend Ruth Kearney's back. The "Divergent: Allegiant" star was spotted with Kearney in New York early this week in a rare public sighting.
According to Just Jared Jr. James and Kearney were seen running a few errands together. Unlike other Hollywood couples, the two tend to keep their relationship low key. They are not the type to show PDAs, even hold hands. Insiders claim that this could only mean that the two are ready to take their relationship to the next level.
It has long been rumored that James was thinking of popping the question anytime soon. The 30-year-old was even allegedly seen shopping around for an engagement ring for his longtime girlfriend.
Insiders claim that James was only planning to propose just to stop the incessant rumors about him and Woodley dating. When the actor told Belfast Telgraph that he had a thing for strong women with nice legs, fans immediately started to speculate that he was talking about his onscreen partner, to Kearney's disappointment.
It was said that Kearney has her eyes on James and Woodley for a while now. Because of their undeniable chemistry onscreen, many cannot help but wonder if there is something going on between the two actors.
James and Woodley, however, consistently claim that they are just good friends. They added that they are just lucky to have worked with one another. Both stars said that they are looking forward to starring in another movie together once the "Divergent" franchise ends.
