Hero MotoCorp is scheduled for a major launch event on Sept. 29 dubbed "Unveiling the New Heroes." Prior to the official launch, leaked images reveal a brochure detailing the upcoming Hero Duet scooter.
According to Car Trade, the upcoming Hero Duet will directly compete with the recently released Honda Activa-i.
The new Hero Duet is powered by a 110cc single cylinder engine. The air cooled petrol engine is capable of generating 8.3Bhp of power at 8,000 rpm. The engine is also capable of torque output of 6,500 pound-foot.
Based on the leaked image, the Duet will be released in two variants; VX and LX. The LX has a wheelbase measuring 1,240mm while the VX is about 5mm longer. The LX weighs around 115 kg while the VX weighs about 116 kg.
Features of the Hero Duet includes an electric starter, USB port for mobile charging, combination lock, front and rear luggage hook, tubeless tires, digital and analog instrument panel with service reminder, a buzzer integrated external fuel filler and a side stand.
The Hero Duet will be available in six color variants; Pearl Silver White, Candy Blazing Red, Grace Grey Metallic, Nature Green Metallic, Panther Metallic Black and Matt Vernier Grey.
The Hero Duet is expected to be released alongside the Hero Maestro Edge. The two scooters share almost the same specs.
According to Motoroids, the two scooters are expected to be unveiled at a major event on Sept. 29. Additionally, the scooters will be exclusively released India. Hero MotoCorp has yet to announce whether it will release the scooters in the international market.
