Apple fans were disappointed that the new MacBook Air and Pro 2016 did not appear at the iPhone launch earlier this month and new reports claimed that MacBook Air, Pro 2016 release will happen once the stocks of the previous models of the laptop dwindled.

According to Neurogadget, there is a chance that MacBook Air and MacBook Pro 2016 release will happen later this year as soon as there are less alternatives for consumers. This is probably the reason why Apple and retailers are offering big discounts to previous models of MacBook Air and Pro.

The reason behind this is probably due to a big jump in terms of specs and features in the upcoming models that will make it more popular than other models.

Some rumors claimed that the upcoming models of MacBook Air and Pro will arrive next month probably alongside the equally rumored iPad Air 3. Other reports suspect that the devices will herald early next year in order to maximize profits of the current MacBooks.

Meanwhile, some of the purported features of the MacBook Air 2016 are 13-inch and 15-inch screen displays, Intel Skylake-U chipset, OS X El Capitan, Type-C USB port, and an improved battery life. The laptops will most likely be equipped with Force Touch technology. The MacBook Air will be even thinner than last time.

Meanwhile, the MacBook Pro 2016 is also expected to pack almost the same specs and features, but with more powerful RAM.

However, Apple has not confirmed the aforementioned features and release date.
