NBA point guard Jeremy Lin hosted an AMA (Ask Me Anything) on Reddit and one of the questions thrown at him was about Michael Jordan.
Fox Sports reported that Lin was asked if he can beat Jordan in a one-on-one game, although not in their primes but right at this very moment. What that basically means is if Jordan calls him today for a solo game, will he win? Lin carefully chose his words and ended up saying something very safe.
The 27-year-old player deferred to His Airness, saying the he's the boss so he will let him have it. He punctuated the reply with a "LOL."
Clearly, he didn't want to get into trouble with the owner of Charlotte Hornets. Lin was signed by the team during the off-season.
Lin has a career average of 11.7 points per game, 2.6 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 1.3 steals, according to ESPN.
The undrafted Harvard graduate had a tough year with the Lakers. Now that Lin is with a new team he looks forward to what he can bring to the Hornets.
The National reported that Steve Clifford, head coach for Charlotte, said that the team is very fortunate to have Lin as he is a talented three-point shooter and a playmaker. He added that he is capable of creating opportunities for his teammates.
Lin also feels that joining the Hornets is a great fit for him. He and Clifford have discussed a role that would allow him to be on attack mode, giving him more versatility in his plays.
It seems like the new dawn is coming for Linsanity.
