There are rumors that Angelina Jolie has been approached to play the role of a villain in "Fast and Furious 8."

The eighth movie in the "Fast and Furious" franchise is already in its casting stage. Many actors are being rumored to be roped in to play new characters in the upcoming installment of the franchise.

Michelle Rodriguez, who plays the role of Letty Ortiz, revealed in her recent interview with ET Online, that this movie will be one level up in comparison with the previous part. The main reason for this, according to her, will be the addition of a strong female lead in "Fast and Furious 8." She further said that she wishes the role will go to none other than Jolie.

The rumor mill is also abuzz about Jolie being approached to play the role of a villain in the movie. Even though there is no confirmation about the Academy Award winner joining the cast, Ruby Rose is confirmed to join the cast for "Furious 8." The actress rose to fame with her recent role portrayal in "Orange is the New Black." She recently revealed about auditioning for the seventh installment of the movie, failing to secure a part.

Apart from Michelle Rodriguez, the confirmed casts who will return to shoot for the eighth movie are Dwayne Johnson, Vin Diesel, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Kurt Russell, along with Eva Mendes. The brother of Late Paul Walker - Cody Walker is also in talks to join the cast of the movie. He also completed his brother's incomplete role in the previous movie, with the late Walker's face morphed on to his face.

According to People, the eight installment of the movie is being made to honor the late Walker's wishes.

The movie will be shot in New York, with Russell playing a very important part in this installment. "Fast and Furious 8" will release on April 14, 2017.
