New York Comic-Con (NYCC) 2015 will hit the Javitz Center October 8 through October 11 and there will be offerings aplenty, especially in the anime department.
Naruto Creator Masashi Kishimoto will speak with fans at a panel, the new "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" will debut, and there will be a Sailor Moon panel.
Naruto fans will be delighted to hear that Kishimoto, lauded creator of the "Naruto" manga, will grace the convention in his first-ever international appearance, thanks to the Japan Foundation, according to iDigital Times.
Kishimoto Sensei will share about his career and creative process, and answer fan questions about his special brand of anime in a VIZ Media panel, featuring his contributions to manga and anime.
There will be prizes to be won at the panel,which will be held on main stage 1-D at 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. on October 8.
The acclaimed Naruto creator will also make his debut as Executive Producer when he introduces the North American English-subtitled premiere of the highly-anticipated "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" in a special screening at 11:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. on October 10 in the Hammerstein Ballroom - 311 W. 43 th St.
In "Boruto: Naruto the Movie," Naruto Uzumaki becomes the 7th Hokage charged with protecting the Hidden Leaf Village while Boruto, his trouble-making son, is resentful of his father's duties.
Sasuke takes Boruto into his care while, Sarada, Sasuke's only daughter, dreams of becoming Hokage herself.
The first 100 attendees of the screening will be entitled to an exclusive signing session with Kishimoto at 10 a.m.
Another anticipated happening at this year's Comic-Con is a Sailor Moon panel featuring the popular anime series throughout the years.
There will be hot news about the Guardian of Love and Justice, and the new series "Sailor Moon Crystal" will make its debut at the panel, which will be held at 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m., October 11, in Room 1A18.
It will also be anime galore at VIZ Media's booth #1346. Sasuke and Naruto costumes from the Japanese "Live Spectacle Naruto" stage show will be on display, among other anime goodies.
Since the New York Anime Festival (NYAF) folded into the NYCC, it has continued to present the most recent happenings in the worlds of anime and manga according to its website New York ComicCon.
This year is proving to be no different, and, all-in-all, New York Comic-Con 2015 promises to be a winner for anime fans.
