Transfer rumors about some of the biggest names of world football have recently been linked to Manchester United as Louis van Gaal is reportedly still unsatisfied of his side's latest jump to the top spot of the 2015-2016 Premier League season.

The 63-year-old Dutch mentor is said to be keen on pulling out a Galactico signing when the transfer window reopens in January and here are some of the latest rumors.

Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo expresses intention to rejoin Wayne Rooney at the Old Trafford before calling it quits: While the 30-year-old Portuguese captain is on the verge of passing Raúl as Los Blancos' all-time leading goal scorer, he also expressed his desire to once again play alongside the Manchester United and England team captain.

"I miss playing with Rooney. Maybe we will play together again one day," Ronaldo admitted. "He was so powerful I was calling him Pitbull. The power of Wayne Rooney is his mentality and strength and he never stops."

While United fans may rejoice with Ronaldo's remarks, it should be noted that it is still up to the clubs to make this potential £98-million signing a reality. But at least Ronaldo's sentiment is already made known. Verdict: Fact.

Van Gaal set to sign Neymar in January amidst contract negotiation problems with Barça: Rumors arise that the Red Devils' bid for the Seleção captain has been given new life as the 23-year-old Brazil international was reportedly not satisfied with the compensation offered by Barcelona during their recent contract negotiations.

Allegedly, Neymar was looking for a significant pay increase after he played a significant role in the Catalonia giants' conquest of La Liga, Copa del Rey, UEFA Champions League, and the UEFA Super Cup last season, but Barça officials were not amenable to his request.

It is expected, however, that things will work out for Neymar and Barcelona before the winter window opens, especially since van Gaal interested on the winger is widely known. Verdict: Fiction.
