Writer and co-creator of the show, Graeme Manson, recently talked about Cormier's fate in season 4. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Manson said, "We wanted to make a strong choice with the character this season and work with Evelyn to craft the role of Delphine."
The co-creator added that if Cormier will return, her gunshot wound remains to be seen in the upcoming season.
Meanwhile, Duncan's presence in season 4 will be part of an intriguing mystery as reported by The Daily Beast. Duncan, Rachel's mother, was initially believed to be dead, but she will come back fully alive in season 4. Manson pointed out that if Rachel is with her mother, then she is with the only surviving creator.
Lead actress Maslany also teased about the upcoming season. She said that season 4 will be full of new mysteries that will serve as a twist for the entire show. She added that fans should expect to see more explosive mysteries in the next season. The mysteries will include Cormier being alive and making a comeback.
So far, there is no official information from BBC as to when "Orphan Black" season 4 will be released. However, the network indicated that the show will debut anytime soon in 2016.
