HTC One M9 is finally getting a 532.26MB update to the version 2.11.531.19. The changelog includes "android security patches," enhancements, and bug fixes.
HTC's vice president of product management Mo Versi said earlier that a T-Mobile One M9 update with 'HTC fixes," Android for work and Stage-fright patch was targeted for the middle of September. However, Versi later said that HTC was aiming for Sept. 29 as the rollout date for HTC One Stage-fright Patch, TMO News reported.
Thus, it is prospected that the update will apparently include all the features previously mentioned plus the Stage-fright Patch. However, while the changes may completely reconfigure the phone, Sense UI will still remain 7.0.
Before the users set up the downloading and installing process, it will be required of them to have a stable Wi-Fi network. As well, their HTC One smartphones will be recommended to have a halfway-charged battery to guarantee they do not power down during the update process.
This update comes soon after the same HTC One began receiving its android 5.1 Lollipop update on Aug. 20. Versi had tweeted saying that the android 5.1 Lollipop over-the-air update had been approved for the HTC One M9 and was to take effect soon after the release, Android Central confirmed.
Even more, HTC One M9 is expected to be featured in another upcoming update that will feature the Android Marshmallow. A "primary" list of HTC devices initially shared by an inside source included the HTC One, substantiating its probability to be spotlighted in the Marshmallow updates.
