Mars has indeed water flowing on its land and could be considered to be one of the biggest discovery in space exploration.
Water on Mars is a remarkable discovery, no doubt, but looking at the bigger picture, it means that man can push the idea that there is a possibility that the red planet can sustain life after all.
NASA's Science Mission Directorate in Washington John Grunsfeld, an astronaut and associate administrator, said "Our quest on Mars has been to 'follow the water,' in our search for life in the universe, and now we have convincing signs that validate what we've long suspected," NASA reported.
"This is a significant development, as it appears to confirm that water -- albeit briny -- is flowing today on the surface of Mars," Grunsfeld continued.
Mars' exploraton team composed of a number of scientists also revealed that the dark streaks on the slopes of Mars, which can be seen during the warm season, means on the planet is liquid water. The scientists also said that Mars has a very different atmospheric condition, which causes the water to be unstable.
On Earth, water boils at 100 degrees Celsius and freezes at 0 degrees Celsius, but on Mars, at just 10 degrees Celsius, water begins to evaporate, Time reported.
Mars' team's view of Mars, of the ancient Mars, according to them, has been really about seeking chemical fossils of possible past life on Mars.
NASA used an " imaging spectrometer" to detect the water. The images showed that the steaks darkened during Mars' warmer season and fade away during the colder season.
