Director Paul Feig has expressed his disappointment on the leaked details about his upcoming "Ghostbusters" film reboot.
In his interview with Yahoo Movies, Feig explained that he was dismayed with a leak involving Chris Hemsworth's costume. The director said that a part of their private shooting was "illegally" captured and posted at about two hours after the filming. For Feig, while he was distressed when he saw the leak, he still considers himself as a director who surprises fans.
Along with Hemsworth's costume as the Ghostbuster's secretary, the other details that have been leaked were the Ernie Hudson and Sigourney Weaver's cameo appearances, as per Cinema Blend. According the publication, Weaver's appearance had prompted Feig to reveal the actress' inclusion in the upcoming film.
Previously, Feig was also forced to reveal the lead cast members of his forthcoming film in their full Ghostbusters attire. The action was done for the production staff not to be anxious on seeing photo leaks in the internet. At this point, Feig and his team have completed the film's principal photography in Massachussetts.
Released in 1984, Ivan Reitman's "Ghostbusters" followed parapsychology professors who set up a shop as their unique ghost removal service. Feig's upcoming "Ghostbusters" will most likely follow the same premise while showcasing a blend of old and new cast members.
Aside from Hemsworth, Hudson, and Weaver, "Ghostbusters" stars Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Annie Potts, Kristen Wig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon.
Feig's "Ghostbusters" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on July 15, 2016.
