"The Flash" season 2 is eminent and CW recently unveiled a synopsis for episode 2 of the new season, titled "Flash of Two Worlds." The synopsis teases on fan-favorite Jay Garrick making his long-awaited premiere.
The synopsis from Comic Book read:
"INTRODUCING JAY GARRICK - Jay Garrick (guest star Teddy Sears), a mysterious man from Earth-2, appears at S.T.A.R. Labs with a dire warning about an evil speedster named Zoom, who is set on destroying The Flash. Barry (Grant Gustin) and the team must decide if they can trust this stranger even as they face yet another powerful meta-human. Meanwhile, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) must deal with a determined officer named Patty Spivot (guest star Shantal VanSanten) who wants to join his meta-human task force."
Todd helbing and Aaron Helbing will write episode 2 script, which will be directed by Jesse Warn, and it will be aired on Oct. 13.
The character of Garrick was initially teased at the end of season 1 finale when his iconic helmet flew from the wormhole that was meant to be Eobard Thawne's way back home. Garrick is known to be the first speedster in history to embrace the name The Flash.
In season 2, Garrick comes to Central City in Barry Allen's period to warn him and his allies about an eminent danger that he himself cannot stop.
Furthermore, CW previously unleashed the first set of promo photos for the season premiere episode called "The Man Who Saved Central City." In the stills, Allen and The Flash are seen facing Captain Cold and Heatwave for the second time, as well as the Atom-Smasher. The Flash is now some sort of hero, with fan shirts and merchandised motivated by him - probably after saving Central City from obliteration in season 1 finale.
Meanwhile, after many rumors about the role of Franz Drameh (Jay Jackson) in "The Flash" and "Arrow" spinoff "DC's Legends of Tomorrow," CW revealed that Drameh will feature at some point as the dominant form of Firestorm - a hero created by fusing Dr. Martin Stein (Victor Garber) and Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell), Variety reported.
"The Flash" will return to CW on Oct. 6.
