The Houston Texans (1-2) are coming off their first win of the season in Week 3 as they visit the undefeated Atlanta Falcons (3-0) for a marquee matchup at the Georgia Dome on Sunday.
The Texans relied once again on their strong defense to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a low-scoring affair, 19-9, at the NRG Stadium last Sunday, via CBS Houston.
Quarterback Ryan Mallett was inspired in the game outplaying 2015 first overall pick Jameis Winston. The newly-ordained Texans starting signal caller threw 24-of-39 for 228 yards with a touchdown, one interception and a sack for a 73.9 QBR and a 75.6 rating.
Meanwhile, the Falcons continue to dominate their opponents as they dropped the injury-plagued Dallas Cowboys, 39-28, at the AT&T Stadium also last Sunday, as per Fansided.
Matt Ryan found wideout Julio Jones twice in the end zone while running back Devonta Freeman rushed for three touchdowns en route to another dominating performance by Dan Quinn's boys.
Atlanta is expected to extend their winning streak to four against the Texans, but it is up to J.J. Watt and the rest of Houston's defense to prove the odds otherwise.
Prediction: Falcons win, 21-17.
